  • When to start training a puppy?

You should start puppy training as soon as you bring your puppy home, ideally at 8 weeks old, because early puppy training is critical for building good habits and preventing problem behaviors. From day one, you can begin puppy potty training, crate training, basic obedience training, and socialization, all of which lay the foundation for a well-behaved dog. While at-home puppy training starts immediately, we recommend beginning formal in-person puppy obedience training at 12 weeks of age, when your puppy is developmentally ready to focus, learn commands, and handle new environments.

  • Can puppies train before shots are complete?

We start welcoming puppies into our professional puppy training programs around 12 weeks old, even if their vaccinations aren’t fully completed yet. This is a critical stage for early puppy training, socialization, crate training, and basic obedience training, when your puppy is most ready to learn and build lifelong habits. Waiting too long can mean missing this window and allowing unwanted behaviors to develop. That’s why we provide a safe, structured puppy training environment with proper cleaning protocols, so your puppy can begin training confidently and safely.

  • How do I stop bad behaviors?

We focus on stopping bad behaviors by first helping you understand why your dog is doing them—because behaviors like jumping, barking, pulling, or ignoring commands don’t happen randomly. Through our structured dog training programs, we show you how to clearly communicate with your dog, reinforce the right behaviors, and correct unwanted ones in a fair and consistent way. Instead of quick fixes, we teach you a proven system that builds lasting results through obedience training, impulse control, and real-life application. When you work with us, you’re not just stopping bad behaviors—you’re learning how to create a calm, well-behaved dog that listens to you at home and in the real world.

  • How long does it take to train my puppy?

Our program is designed in four phases, with the first three phases done in person to lay a strong foundation before transitioning into our Chaos to Calm course. During these in-person phases, we focus on puppy obedience training, potty training, crate training, and building clear communication, so your puppy understands expectations from the start. While every puppy learns at a different pace, most owners begin seeing noticeable improvements quickly, with lasting results coming from consistently working through each phase. Our goal isn’t just quick fixes—it’s to guide you step-by-step to a calm, well-behaved dog that listens.
